JolieBox March 2012

If you don't already know, there are subscription beauty boxes online that you can subscribe to for around £13 per month including postage, some are different prices but a lot are the same.

Most boxes either give 5 or 6 samples of different products from different brands, sometimes full sized products! The boxes are worth more than what you pay for them. Some boxes send out items to suit your skin type etc, from what they get in stock. Others just send at random taken from a selection of 7 or 8 possible choices. Either way, Its always good to open something that you have no idea what it is!

If you dont like something thats in a box, swap it or sell it!

So.. Here is my JolieBox March 2012.

AFTER OPENING THE BOX, I SEEN A JOLIEMAG WHICH IS NEW AND UNDERNEATH IT WAS THIS LITTLE BAG OF GOODIES..

I GOT THIS LCN NAIL CARE NAIL POLISH. ITS LIKE A VERY PALE BLUE COLOUR. NOT QUITE SURE ON THE ORIGINAL PRICE  FOR THIS BUT IT WILL PROBABLY BE AROUND £5.

I ALSO GOT THIS YARDLEY LONDON PEONY LUXURY BODY WASH. 200ML FULL SIZE - SMELLS NICE TOO. WILL DEFINATELY BE USING THIS.  ORIGINAL PRICE : £3.50

THIS IS THE EYEKO SKINNY EYELINER IN MIDNIGHT BLUE. ON THE SITE, THESE SELL FOR £9.50 EACH. I DON'T USE EYELINER PENCILS AS I USE GEL EYELINER OR LIQUID EYELINER PENS SO I WILL MOST LIKELY SELL OR SWAP THIS EVENTUALLY.

THIS IS DAVINES AUTHENTIC MOISTURISING BALM , FOR FACE BODY OR HAIR. IT SAYS 98% NATURAL DERIVED INGREDIENTS WITH ORGANIC CARTHAME OIL. I'VE ALREADY TRIED THIS AND IT MADE MY SKIN FEEL REALLY SOFT! THIS WILL BE ANOTHER PRODUCT I WILL BE USING. THE ONLY OTHER MOISTURISER I USE IS STEAMCREAM WHICH I HAVE MENTIONED IN A PREVIOUS BOX, I LOVE IT! THIS IS NICE TOO THOUGH SO I WILL DEFINATELY MAKE USE OF IT. THE PRODUCT ALSO HAS A NICE SMELL TO IT. THE RETAIL PRICE FOR THIS IS £9.99.

ohh... a little mirror! I always lose my mirrors, then find them again when I don't need them then lose them again when I do! I thought this was a really handy thing to add in, and I will definately make use of this. It's small and slim enough to carry about in my little every day bag.

"Subscriptions are priced at £10.00 + £2.95 P&P per month and can be cancelled anytime."

In this box, you recieve four to five samples every month, and as you can see the items value a lot more than what you pay for the box.

I'm looking forward to next months box already

Space raiders

Anyone else agree that these are highly addictive?
They are only in small packets so they don't last very long :(

I usually buy them in the multibags for £1 though and they are the smaller packets but it would still be nice if they made these crisps into bigger packets.
Or am I just greedy? Haha!

New Item - 2TB Hard Drive

YAY

My mum got me a 2tb hard drive as an early birthday present so ive been spending my afternoon moving stuff from my laptop to my new hard drive.

It's a Touro Desk Pro By Hitachi.
  • Easy to install Hitachi Backup
  • Sits nicely next to my laptop
  • Looks rather smart looking!

My laptop has a 750gb hard drive but I wanted more space to eventually fill.

A Little Bit Of Change

So I have decided, my walls and windows in my room need a bit of style added to them as they're looking plain and boring!

My mum got me a canvas for my birthday which is next month to put up on my wall! It's lovely.

I've had a dream catcher for a while now that I haven't yet put up. It's pretty big, with fairies on it and is light blue. It's really pretty and about time it brightened my room up a bit.

I decided to purchase a window sticker of the logo of one of my favourite bands.. Rammstein! I've placed that in the corner of my window. For my window, I'm also waiting on paw print stickers to arrive to make it look like I've had a bear walking diagonally down my window.

Once i get a Scotland flag, I will hang that at one side of my wall infront of my bed and a German flag at the other.

It's certainly going to look different, but it's all stuff I like so will make my room look more like my own.

Labello -- Soft Rose

I swapped a lipstick for this on Bigwardrobe swap site and I really liked it. Like a lot of people, I bite my lips a lot causing them to get a bit rough and using this product my lips don't feel as bad. I use this quite a lot now and will be purchasing more when I need a new one. It really does the job.

Steamcream

I do recommend this product.

I love it! I make jewellery and the tips of my fingers can get a bit rough and using this you wouldn't even think they were rough at all. My skin is so soft. I use it every day now after getting it in a beauty box and will definately be purchasing it when the one I have is nearly empty.

Being Human

So I've just started watching season 4 of Being Human & well I must say although I like a few of the new characters, I much prefered it when Mitchell , Nina & George were in it!

I'm glad it has started back though as I was wondering when or if it was going to return but never did look online to find out.

I really liked the previous seasons, quite enjoying this one too!

Swapping

I absolutely love swapping!

But.. Swapping isn't the same anymore. There are a lot of people going onto swap sites and asking for cash only! That isn't swapping. It's okay to have one or two items cash only if it's expensive or you're looking to buy something similar, but not EVERYTHING.

I have over 5000 items, that I'd love to get rid of in a swap for new items that I would make use of or even some things for my mum, sister or my partner but swapping has died down a lot. I remember when I used to take like 8 parcels to the post office at a time, now its only like one or two because everyone asks for cash. Its the same if you ask someone to swap, a lot of the time you get "sorry no but I will accept cash" If i wanted to buy the item I would have asked how much?

If you want to start swapping , hop on over to :

03/03/2012

Came back home from manchester yesterday. I was in two minds whether to go or not as I have been struggling to walk a lot lately and I collapsed last month trying to walk 5 minutes to the doctors, so walking about manchester & Rammstein concert was a bit of a risk. Me being me, didn't want to waste money already spent and want to atleast try to do things that other people can do.

I managed to stand through the full concert holding the barrier and didnt seizure once either being epileptic which was a bonus, though my head and eyes were really sore afterwards but still I enjoyed myself. Just as the concert finished and people started to move it was then i realised, I couldn't move! Both legs swelt up, ankle was already swollen from collapsing previously and was in agony and my back seized up due to my spinal issues. Although I moved my legs about constantly throughout the gig and adjusted myself so my back or sides were safe, I still ended up with swollen legs, severe back pain (which was from standing too long) and ankle swelt more due to too much pressure on my foot so we got out the arena as soon as possible (me & my partner Kevin) and went to the hotel via taxi, where i fell asleep not long after we got a food delivery lol! I was exhausted. Next day, I could hardly walk. When I walk normally I have to stop every minute or two because I get too sore and my back starts to tighten & my chest. We were going to pop into a few shops before heading home but I felt it in my legs and back that I really couldn't handle walking, so we just went for lunch then wandered to the wetherspoons and sat in there until an hour before the bus arrival. Luckily, the hotel was near where we had to go for the concert and the bus station so it wasn't far. We just got a taxi to the arena. We spent more time waiting in manchester than anything else, I really couldn't move about much. I don't find manchester exciting anyway. I spent 14 years living there and hated it so I couldn't wait to get home.

Will be my last concert standing though I think, my back and legs are too weak now.

I'm using my inhaler a lot more because of how my spine is and its effect on my breathing. I don't really fancy having breathing issues whilst at a concert because I'm being squashed and in pain.

Although there are so many things I cannot do anymore due to my health, I am still greatful for what I can do and won't stop trying to do things even if its a tricky task, if you don't try you never know if you can do it.

Advise:
Even if you find it hard don't give up, if you keep trying at least you can say you tried & if you try and still can't do it, improvise because there may be an easier way.
