Pastel Hair - My FIRST Attempt

Apologies for not posting what my pastels were like on hair sooner! I know I said I would but I totally forgot about them! :(

However, after being reminded.. I thought I'd try it.

Although honestly I wish I didnt.

My first attempt of nail marbeling was a disaster.. And this didnt go down to well either although got there eventually. Maybe because my hair seems to have a mind of its own.

I do have dyed black hair and I wet it first as you should but being sat on my bed I forgot to put something under me to stop my hair dripping onto my bed hahaha oh dear.. clean bedsheets for me! I decided to go with grey and dark purple , and over black hair as you can see they turned out pretty good. I'm not really a fan of bright colours, so no pretty rainbow hair here. But please excuse the fact I have wild hair, I just washed it with a new shampoo and conditioner I bought recently and it seemed to make my hair turn into a major frizzball.

I did not straighten my hair, just blow dried as I don't straighten it, although if I did I'm sure my straighteners would end up looking a bit .. colourful?
As you can see though, for a first attempt, its not TOO bad.. or at least I don't think so anyway.

Some Online Bargain Buys!!

Now, I'll be totally honest and say I haven't got much to show since I bought a new laptop, dads birthday stuff and treated my mum a bit so its not all that exciting. Although I do have a small superdrug order on the way, mainly due to the fact I needed nail varnish remover but couldnt help myself from ordering some other things as well.

I also have 1kg of coconut oil on the way that I bought on ebay as I'm planning on putting coconut oil on my hair in baths to see if it improves my hair and scalp. Yes, 1kg may seem like a lot to try out but if it doesn't work out for my hair I can always use it when making bath stuff :D

Anyway, here are some of my recent online bargain buys:

1. Mini Sugar Panda Tin £1.70

As you can see, I use it to store some of my jewellery making stuff like pendant bails, jump rings, earring backings. It's ideal for that!

You can buy the tin here:
 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310729130109

They send at random, but I asked for either the panda or the bear one and I got the panda so I'm sure if you ask nicely, they will send the one you want!

2. Boot Laces.. 99p!
I ended up buying two of these, my cats play with my laces so they do get worn out easily. 99p was a bargain. Mum tried to get boot laces in shops for me outside but they were trying to charge her a couple of pound for one pair so she told her no and she'd get them elsewhere, so 99p for one pair with free postage is definitely a bargain.

You can get them here:

-----------------------------

3. Four Replica Fragrances By Perfume Oil Boutique. £5.50 each with postage combined to £2.65.

Two are womens scents and two are mens. Female scents are Y.S.L - Belle D'Opium & Dior - Midnight Poison and male scents are D&G - Masculine & Dior - Fahrenheit as you can see from above photos. All were for me as I like mixed scents. What jumped out at me first about these replicas were that all ingredients used were NATURAL. Now I know a lot of cosmetics and fragrances don't have all natural ingredients so it's great that these did. I do not own the originals, far too expensive for me so I would never buy them, however.. I do like the smells from all of these. Some are still available for sale as well as a lot of other replicas on their ebay page. As you can see I've already tried them all and find the smells last a good while. These will certainly last me a long time. Not bad for £24.65 including postage.

You can buy them here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Solid-perfume-for-men-women-Ladys-millions-farenheit-angels-aliens-LAST-FEW-/321121478724?pt=UK_HeathBeauty_BathShowCons_RL&var=510115782483&hash=item4ac454e844

What they are selling is their last stock, once they are gone.. That's it. They're gone. So if you buy something and like it, be sure to stock up!

4. Stickers! 4 Packs for 39p.  I won 8 packs total in 2 auctions on eBay both 39p each so total was 78p for all the stickers

LOT ONE
Close ups of stickers in lot 1. I only took 3 photos as one of the packs I had two of.

LOT 2
Close up photos. Again one of the packets I had two of.

I know the first lot of stickers are Tinkerbell stickers, as for the 2nd batch I have no idea although I bidded on these as I write penpal letters and these will get used in my letters to make them look nice and less boring!

5. Shamballa Bracelet - Won for 71p in an auction and came from China. What a bargain!

Anyway! That's my recent bargains.

Hope you liked my post ^_^

Digital Coin Counting Money Jar

Whilst browsing the internet looking for stuff for my dads birthday, I came across Digital Coin Counting Money Jar on Menkind's website and decided it would be a good idea to get one for any change me and mum have lying around. Plus it would also be a fast counter for when bagging 2p's and 1p's to exchange them at the bank!

I decided to test it out! Its accurate. Takes 2 AA Batteries (not included) and has a reset button under the lid and the lid easily screws off.

It was originally £9.99 but I got it for £6.99! (not including postage)
It is still available for £6.99 on their website.

Bought all for charities!!

This is my bundle of stuff that I bought specifically to donate to charities.

Each item cost either 1p or 6p!! (free postage) I just bidded 1p and 6p on things on eBay to see what I would win. Hundreds of stuff I got outbid on, but I expected that. But some stuff I didn't.  It would cost them more to post it!

The bracelet strap things come in a pack of 20 and I got them for 88p.. Making one cost about 4p .

Close up photos:

In total, there are:

33 Tape Measures
26 Screen Protectors For Iphones 4 & 5
1 Sony Ericsson Screen Protector
Two one direction necklaces
Two packs of 1000 seed beads
Dolphin Necklace
2 Packs of 5 Golf Tees
40 Bracelet Straps

Might not seem like a lot to you, but if they sold the tape measures at £1 each, that is £33. If they sold the screen protectors for 20p each, that is £5.40. Every little counts! They will be added into small sweetie bags with 10-15 hand made jewellery items. If my mum passes any charity shops when she is out, she gives them one of the bags. I'm really grateful for her doing that for me as I can hardly walk and couldn't do it myself.

I've got some more stuff on the way for charity shops! I'll share my next bundle of goodies to hand out when they arrive.

Handmade & Simple Accessory!

I had a hospital appointment yesterday and decided I wanted to wear a bracelet that went well with my t-shirt. I don't buy bracelets and the only jewellery I do buy are usually Alchemy Gothic Necklaces or on the rare occasion a necklace I spy on eBay. I had about 20 minutes before the taxi was coming & I was already ready to go.. So decided to get out some wooden beads, bead caps, glue, elastic and scissors and make a bracelet.

My t-shirt had a fairy, leaves and butterflies on it so I thought wooden beads that looked natural and plain would be ideal!

This was the finished result:

Penpals, Letters, Craft & Food Swaps!

First of all, I apologise for not writing a post for quite a while!

I started using my Interpals account that I made ages ago. I never really used it much previously but thought I'd give it a try. I received an email saying a girl had contacted me on it so I went to check what was said and it turned out she wanted to be penpals and write letters! I hadn't wrote a letter in ages but decided at that moment I was going to start writing letters again.

I'm glad I did. I've spoke to some nice people on there and already got myself 7 people to write to in the past month! I have to admit, I've had some rude and inappropriate messages as well.. But I just add them to my block list!

A girl I started talking to I am now exchanging crafts with. She is from Italy & she makes totally different stuff to me, as I make jewellery and bath stuff and recently started on lip balms & healing balms. I have no idea what she is sending me, so it will be a surprise when I get it but to be honest I'm really looking forward to receiving it! I've sent off a lip balm, bath salts (fragranced and with oils) and a soap to her, so I hope she likes them! Soap is a nice orange colour and smells sweet with a slight floral hint to it but I'm glad I made extras because I really liked the smell myself and have been using one of the extra ones I made.
This is her facebook page:
 https://www.facebook.com/SlugCreations

She does speak some English so if you are interested in some stuff send her a message!

As well as a craft swap ongoing, I am doing a snack swap with a girl from America. We limited it to 5 snacks each. I just have to send her some Scottish Tablet & Macaroon!!
Its exciting doing something different. I guess its like beauty boxes that send random items per month , you don't know what you're going to get. But I'm more looking forward to these because I feel they're more personal.

Maybe I'll find more people to do swaps with in the future?
 I hope so!!
Does anyone else have pen pals? Do you swap stuff? :)
