77 bracelets for charities..

So I decided to start getting in cheap bulk buys of beads and elastic in order to make bracelets and give them to charities. As far as beads were concerned it was just whatever I could get low price. I could easily go up to a charity shop and give them a donation, but if i spend little on getting beads and elastic it would make them more money.

Yes I do sometimes wonder how much of the money from the shops actually goes to the cause, but my mum said she would take some with her anytime shes out and going to be near any charity shops or possibly pass any charity shops and just drop them in for me. So hopefully, somewhere, I'll make a bit of a difference for someone.

Due to my health and not being able to get about much, there is a lot I cannot do. But I wanted to help out a bit where I can.

Its not much, but its still something.

I enjoy making jewellery, but with my bad back and other pains I can't lie and do it for too long, but I still like to try. At the end of the day it makes me happy knowing I may have helped someone somewhere and not only that I may have made someone happy with my bracelets when they've been purchased in the shop.
In the above photo there are 77 bracelets, mostly elasticated bracelets and I've put tags on them so they know that they are new.

If every bracelet sold for £1 - that would get them £77
If every bracelet sold got 50p that would get them £38.50
Some bracelets are made with crystal beads, a lot are wooden beads, some are mixed acrylic and wooden and others just acrylic.
Crystal beaded ones I'm hoping will get them more than just £1 and some of  the acrylic ones should do as well.

Also with the above I've added into the charity bag a bracelet i bought on ebay, two pairs of stud earrings, two pairs of handmade earrings, a love wristband, a pearl imitation pendant necklace, pearl imitation earrings, a packet of seed beads, button sticker pack for iphone itouch or ipad.

Overall, quite a bit to be made from that and I'm sure somewhere it will help someone.

I'm about to go and make some more earrings to add into the charity bag.

Anyone else make anything to give to charities?

Mrs crimbles large coconut macaroons .. and my thoughts.

I got the opportunity to try these cheaper than their original price with vouchers from BzzAgent.

Being vegetarian, I like to try anything vegetarian but since the "free from" range in most shops is quite pricey, I don't usually buy any off it.

These are £1.15 in tesco but I got 75p off making it only cost me 40p to buy them. Bargain!!

This photo is taken from Google Images.

My opinion of these is:

I really liked them, very soft and tasted yummy! Macaroons are something I never buy but after trying these with the money off voucher I would buy them again at full price. Quite filling as well.

They are gluten and wheat free. I find some gluten and wheat free foods taste dry , not all but some. But these did not and were a really enjoyable snack.

So thank you BzzAgent for giving me the opportunity to try these cheaper than the full price and helping me find another food I like.

Ebay VS Swapping

At the moment my paypal is FLOODED with refunds because most of what ive previously bought online has been faulty. I'm not even kidding its disgraceful that people think they can send out cheap tack.

I bought small cosmetic pots to put my creams in so i can put them in my bag and most of them are scratched , cracked or chipped. They're from china but came in a box of their own so must have originally been that way before sending.

Someone sent me cheap tacky looking flower pattern beads instead of skull and cross bones charms ... Honestly not sure how they got them mixed up.. Either way i'd never use the beads they're awful.

Another seller sent me a bracelet that was STINKING. I'm not even kidding it smelt nasty and damp. But i bought another bracelet from a different seller and that was exactly the same.. The smell was that overpowering why would they even pack something that smelt so bad to send it out to someone?!

Then I received charms that had plenty of rhinestones loose and some already fell out..

I'll have to admit I did get my refunds (for most of them) still to contact one .. but the fact they send out stuff like that is awful

On a good note I bought my mum wax melts and bought my sister something and they both arrived in perfect condition so very pleased!

Oh.... And I recently bought myself this:

Although there have been a lot of bad stuff I have received, there has still been a lot I've been pleased with so I'm kind of 50/50 with ebay the now.
..

As for swapz site I've had some good swaps lately! Oh and now have 127 positive feedback.

But as far as random messages concern.. I had someone ask to swap their "dirty boxers" for my brand new in packet bra. Then said "why would you even swap a bra? really.."  Obvious reasons being I clearly don't need it if im swapping it, its brand new and someone else could use it.

Then I get asked if I'm a shoplifter..
Some charmers eh?
I can barely walk to the front door.. So I don't even go shopping outdoors!!
Ah well. People like that I just have to ignore. But seriously they have some nerve.

I'm hoping to get some new swaps arranged this weekend.
So fingers crossed .

Its just really disappointing that bigwardrobe has now pretty much turned into a ghost town of a website filled with advertisements and turned into a "broken site". But if swapz keeps improving it will be a much better site than bigwardrobe ever was.

Lucky Fire Escape

I bought a new Sony Xperia Z charger on ebay as my current one needs replaced. It works but the wires are showing near the bit that gets plugged into the socket so time to replace it. So I plugged it in and the bit on the top lit up so I thought.. Yay it works .. I've had a lot of sellers recently on ebay that i've had to message due to faulty items or items not turning up .. It didn't use to be that bad but nowadays I'm getting so much faulty stuff its unreal.

But anyway moving on.. Even though it lit up & I thought it was working fine etc.. I was wrong. Around 5 minutes later I heard a pop and seen a spark at the corner of my eye. The charger blew! I had to pull it out quickly after it sparked.  LUCKILY.. my phone and socket are fine and it didn't damage them but with the charger sparking it could have easily caught fire. Also very lucky it didn't spark again when I pulled it out..

I contacted the seller telling them what happened and they tell me they're sending out another. I'm sorry. But I do not want another one of those chargers. Would you? I'd much rather get a refund and buy a different Sony Xperia Z charger elsewhere.

I mean, It could have set my room on fire, blown my socket, messed up my phone etc. I don't want to risk that again.

But overall.. I think it was very lucky that a fire did not start from the spark and other problems weren't caused from the charger blowing the way it did.

Birthday Presents From Mum

My birthday was the 26th April so a bit of a late post but a post never the less. I asked for dvds and cds for my birthday & gave my mum two lists to pick from. She usually gives me money and refuses to give me nothing even though I tell her every year I don't want anything. So I said "here are two small lists, take your pick from them and surprise me"

She tried to find me Pokemon wrapping paper aww!! I love pokemon stuff so that was thoughtful of her. But she couldn't find any and improvised...

She printed out pokemon images onto paper to wrap up the cds & dvds!

Awww!!

This is what I got:

Rihanna Cd
Two Within Temptation Cd's
Two Disturbed Cd's
Rammstein Cd

Brave Dvd
Aristocats Dvd
The Nightmare Before Christmas Dvd
The Fox & The Hound Blu Ray
The Lion King Blu Ray Trilogy Set
Aladdin Trilogy Set

Mum also got me a Sony Headset but I had to be honest and say it was no use to me and she should sell it on otherwise it'd just be sitting around which would be a shame. I know she means well though. I'm pretty much housebound nowadays & so I don't use headphones much and I don't have many contacts on my phone so don't get many phone calls either.

Most recent mail - 30th april - 2nd may

As you may know if you read my previous post, I bought myself a multi-region blu ray player that is also a multi region dvd player. I already have a blu ray player and dvd player but they aren't multi region. I told mum she could sell them as they're no longer needed. Although she bought them for me, I would not sell them and keep the money. The way I see it is she bought them she sells them.

I only had 3 blu rays; The Smurfs, Underworld 4 & Avatar.. So I decided to buy some more but whatever ones I could get cheap that looked decent from the trailers. I know you can't always trust the trailers as they usually pick the best parts and the rest of the movie could easily be rubbish but still if I didn't like the movies, I'd swap them.

I also got some Rihanna Cd's I didn't have. I mainly listen to Metal/Rock so when people find out I also listen to Rihanna, their faces are always priceless. Although I do listen to a mix from other genres as well.
